I'm happy Dexter and In Bruges got recognition, but I'll admit, I never knew until this year what a sham the Globes were. Ain't It Cool News posted up about 20 quotes from the NY Times, Washington Post, all kinds of major news outlets, all slamming the globes, because apparently the Globes are decided upon by all foreign journalists. And much like the senate seat in Illinois, the nominations are for sale. And cheap, from what I'm hearing.

I'll be more excited when the Oscar nods come out. Assuming there ARE Oscars this year - SAG votes on a strike one month before the Oscars are supposed to air.
