Abdul sets new career path after 'Idol'

paula-abdul-american-idol.jpgSo it seems that our favorite crazy person is quickly filling up her TV dance card.

After announcing her "American Idol" resignation on Twitter, Paula Abdul has quickly gotten herself a couple of new jobs and potentially a few more.

The hand-clapping diva has already locked up a guest spot on Lifetime's "Drop Dead Diva," and now comes word that she is in talks to guest star on ABC's "Ugly Betty."

Abdul would play a new temp at Mode who forges a friendship with secretary Amanda.

This all goes along with "Idol" producer Nigel Lythgoe's comment that he would like to get her as a guest judge on Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance."
Speaking of "Ugly Betty," Jowharah Jones, who played Vanessa Williams' daughter Nico, is leaving the show.

The character will stick around, however, being recast with "America's Next Top Model" alum Yaya Dacosta. Dacosta will make her debut in the Oct. 9 series premiere.

chasecameroncute.jpgHey, "House" fans! Guess who's back under Dr. House's tutelage?

It's Cameron and Chase. That's right, the newlywed couple will be back in their old jobs next season on House's team.

What does that mean for Dr. House and his current team?

Hey "Heroes," who ya gonna call?

A ghostbuster, of course. Ernie Hudson to be exact.

The former "Ghostbusters" and "Oz" star will join the NBC drama as a Baltimore detective on the hunt for a certain "hero."

Storylines for the fourth season of the supernatural hit have been kept tightly under wraps but one new mythology about a "traveling carnival of people with special powers run by a charismatic but evil Earth-moving ringleader" is on the horizon.

In the film "Traffic," Michael Douglas plays Robert Wakefield, a judge who is picked to lead the President's Office of National Drug Control.

Apparently, Douglas' real-life son Cameron has never seen it. Neither has Cameron's girlfriend.

Cameron Douglas has been under house arrest at the home of his stepmother, Catherine Zeta-Jones (I could think of worse places to be), since being busted for selling copious amounts of crystal meth.

This week, his girlfriend, Kelly Sott, was busted for trying to sneak Douglas heroin in an electric toothbrush. After her arrest, a search of her hotel room turned up more heroin, some crystal meth and marijuana.

Pee-wee is back!

093954fa9e581c90.jpgPaul Reubens, who brought the character Pee-wee Herman to life in the '80s, is bringing back the iconic figure live onstage.

"It's time," said Reubens in a press release. "My Pee-wee suit and red bow tie are at the ready -- and this is proof that white shoes are cool past Labor Day."

The engagement will kick off in November in Hollywood. No word on any future dates. And with a past promise of two more Pee-wee films, could we see those projects come to fruition? Only Jambi knows.

When the Farrelly Brothers announced the cast for their "Three Stooges" film a few months ago, fans and critics were amazed by the combination of Benicio del Toro, Jim Carrey and Sean Penn.

Now it seems del Toro is the last Stooge standing.

Penn dropped out of the film citing "personal reasons" and rumor has it that Carrey is the next to n'yuk n'yuk out of the project.

But never fear "Stooges" fans, recasting has begun and the film has its new Larry: award-winning actor Paul Giamatti.
