And now back to your regularly scheduled programming ...

Welcome back, Fanboy readers, I missed you guys. For those of you who read my other column, Fatherhood, (every other Tuesday in your friendly neighborhood Accent section) you know where I went. For those of you don't, shame on you. But you can catch up this coming Tuesday. So without further ado ...

harris-2am.JPGIt's been almost a week since Sunday's Emmy Awards so I won't beat that dead horse. I will however let you know that thanks to a new style, and let's face it, a lot of Neil Patrick Harris, the awards show jumped a million viewers from last year.

It's the most watched Emmys since '06 and the general consensus is that Harris will host every awards show from now until his eventual death.

What's another word for glee? How about happiness?

And that's what I'm filled with since "Glee" was picked up for a full season. The Fox musical/teen comedy is doing wonders in the ratings with its unique mix of high school comedy and musical numbers from all genres. "Break Your Windows" by Jazmine Sullivan to "I Wanna Sex You Up" by Color Me Badd? Yes, please.

Sir Michael Caine is finally giving us some straight shooting regarding a possible follow-up to "The Dark Knight" and any casting rumors that might be floating around.

"There is nobody, there's no script, there's nothing," Caine told MTV News. "It can't possibly be made before 2011 because 'Inception' (from "The Dark Knight" director Christopher Nolan) is such a big picture."

And what about Johnny Depp as the Riddler?

"Johnny Depp is great in anything, but there is no Johnny Depp in this Batman," he said. "They tell me in no uncertain terms."

DIST925ACC.JPGIf you haven't had a chance to see "District 9" yet, you should. Everyone seems to love the film. Well, except the Nigerians.

The Nigerian Information Minister has asked that all Nigerian theaters stop showing the film at once because of the way it depicts their people.

"We feel very bad about this because the film clearly denigrated Nigeria's image by portraying us as if we are cannibals, we are criminals," said Dora Akunyili to the BBC. "The name of our former president was clearly spelt out as the head of the criminal gang and our ladies shown like prostitutes sleeping with extra-terrestrial beings."

Akunyili has also written to Sony Pictures demanding an apology. Akunyili has as much chance of being eaten by a prawn (film reference) as he does of getting that wish granted.

Allow me however to respond to Akunyili myself:

It's a movie, chill out. Should the Jewish community demand an apology for "The Passion of the Christ"? Should the country of Kazakhstan feel slighted after "Borat"?

Oh...nevermind.

Warner Bros. is three months away from releasing its much anticipated Guy Ritchie-directed "Sherlock Holmes" starring Robert Downey Jr., but talk is already afoot about a sequel.

LASSET-11AM.JPGRumor has it that Brad Pitt is in talks to play Holmes' nemesis Moriarty in the next film, joining a cast that already includes Downey Jr., Jude Law and Rachel McAdams.

It was quite a surprise to hear that Disney Studios chairman Dick Cook stepped down last week.

Cook, who started his Disney career as a ride operator, was in charge of the House of Mouse's film slate which according to Disney CEO Robert Iger had been "disappointing lately."

No word yet on a replacement but rumor has it that Pixar chief John Lasseter who headed up films like "Toy Story," "The Incredibles" and "WALL-E" could be in line for the spot.
