115865_291_ful.jpgYou want to talk about time travel? It seems like just yesterday that it was January and we were all geared up for the season five premiere of the ABC smash "Lost." Now we find ourselves one day from the finale and while some questions have been answered regarding the island's mysteries, many remain.

As we head into tomorrow night's two-hour season ender, let's take a look at some of "Lost's" burning questions.

I'm starting to get really confused with all this time jumping. First we had flashbacks, then flash-forwards. Now, we're flashing to alternate presents with the Oceanic Six stuck in 1977 and everyone else in present time. (I got dizzy just writing that sentence.) When will it all make sense?

Never fear, Losties. While this season has seemed like a whirlwind of time jumping, the end is near. "All I will say is that it is time for the time travel craziness to end," said co-creator Damon Lindelof in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. "And once it does end, something very, very surprising will happen in its wake. It is a little bit of a game-changer."
After nine long months, we're finally back and what a way to kick off the season.

After watching this thing twice, I'm ready to throw my first thoughts of the season out there.

I loved the hot pocket. Ben and Hurley on screen together is always gold.

And Hurley's mom..lol. "Why is there a dead Pakistani on my couch?" and "I don't understand you, but I believe you." Definitely some of the best lines of the night.

Here are my questions...

Back To 'Lost'

acc.lost2.jpgIt's been a long eight months.

It's been hard without Jack and Kate. Without Ben and John. Without the polar bears. Without the island. But guess what? The wait is over.

When "Lost" returns tomorrow night at 9 p.m. on ABC, we can only hope that some of the questions that have been haunting Losties for the better part of a year will be answered.

When we last left our favorite castaways, the Oceanic Six (Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun and Aaron) had just been rescued and taken back to the mainland. Ben had just moved the island. Jin and the people on the freighter had just exploded and, in a finale stunner, we find John Locke dead.

As season five kicks off, let's take a look at the burning questions with a little help from Benjamin Linus ... err ... Michael Emerson (the actor who plays Linus).

Season five opens up where season four left off, hovering over the body of a now dead John Locke. Is Locke truly dead?

For those that have been watching the show from the beginning, you know that death on the island is a relative term. We have seen a more than a few characters walking around that had technically left this world. And as is par for the course on this show, there is bound to be more than this Locke situation than meets the eye.

"There are many places in the space/time continuum," says Emerson. "In one place we are one thing. In others we are something else."

Anderson Group Public Relations.jpgWith season five of "Lost" just around the corner, I had chance to catch up with Michael Emerson, who plays Benjamin Linus, as the clock ticks down to the premiere.

Q: Last time we talked you professed your hope to get back to the stage. Have you had the opportunity to do any theater recently?

I haven't because of scheduling. I'm beginning to think that there will be no stage work for me until Lost is over. We have such a narrow summer break. We have three months but it's a very particular three months. I have a certain amount of visibility now so if they are gonna put me in a play it will probably be a substantial part which will entail a longer commitment. So I'll just have to settle for drips and drabs of things, I guess, until then.

Q: When you get the opportunity to act on stage now is it work or a chance to recharge your batteries?

It's exciting; you get back to that more primal anxiety of a live performance. No rewind, no outtakes. And it's far more rewarding. When you get the emotion on the spot like that, there is no feeling like it.

Q: You told me that before last season's finale, three endings were shot for the final scene. What was your first reaction when you realized it was Locke in the coffin?

I said, "Yes. Of course it has to be that." The writers have an instinct to find the highest possible stakes. You say, "It can't be John Locke." So the writers think alright let's make it Locke. Let's find out how that works. They constantly meet you and raise you.

Just got off the phone with "Lost's" Michael Emerson...the interview will be up soon Losties...soon.

Don't worry Losties, I'm not giving anything away..but I will give you a couple tidbits to keep you thinking for the next few weeks..

...a mobisode character makes an onscreen appearance.

...someone gets a nosebleed.

...guess who's back, brotha?

...Ben has a hot pocket thrown at him.

...someone is suspected of being a murderer.

...someone is detained at the airport.

...the hatch is gone. No wait, it isn't. Oh wait..

...a few characters from the past make an appearance.

...a few characters you might expect do not.

Okay, that's enough. Feel free to talk amongst yourself.

And here's a first look at the new season:

ABC will kick off season five of "Lost" on Wednesday Jan. 21, according to the network.

There will be a clip show at 8 p.m., followed by the first and second episodes of the new season at 9 and 10 p.m.
