Latest on the Hogans and Reacts

Reaction to Hogan's Celebrity No. 6 Episode and WWE changes taping schedule.
The Hogans

Hogan's Celebrity Wrestling: Episode 6: I don't understand at all why Danny Bonaduce was let back on the show. The explanation of Hulk Hogan dismissing him in Episode 5 but it not being face-to-face doesn't satisfy me. Bonaduce only caused problems, specifically with Dustin Diamond. At least Goldberg beat Bonaduce around a little bit as a punishment. Trishelle's dismissal was the right call, as she wasn't giving 100 percent. The hardcore match and the Diamond-Bonaduce matches were respectable, but I could tell lots of match footage was cut and put together to make it look good.

WWE wants Ed Leslie to stop using his Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake name. WWE also said Hogan's Celebrity associates will never work for WWE again. And that includes Jimmy Hart. REACT: Beefcake has been out of the business for years, and now that he's on Hogan's show, Vince McMahon is upset. I understand trademarks, but the time element here stands out with Beefcake. As for Jimmy Hart, who was working for WWE promotions, he asked permission to be on Hogan's Celebrity show -- according to Eric Bischoff -- and now this?

The St. Petersburg Times reported that Linda Hogan is out of money despite getting $40,000 per month in temporary alimony payments. REACT: Are you kidding me? Linda is off her rocker. That's $10,000 per week. Heck, I'd take $2,000 per week.

Hulk Hogan to referee Reid Flair's debut wrestling match Dec. 6 in Charlotte, N.C. -- with Ric Flair managing his son Reid. The match has The Nasty Boys (managed by Jimmy Hart) taking on David and Reid Flair (managed by Ric Flair). For info, visit Highspots.com. REACT: For only $20, if you live anywhere near Charlotte, why wouldn't you go to this? Will this be online?

Charley Hill denied a restraining order against Hulk Hogan. REACT: No surprise, here. While Hulk probably doesn't like Charley, he means him no harm.

Weekly Headlines and My Reacts

WWE changes taping schedule: In what was undoubtedly the biggest news story of the past week, WWE will now tape ECW on Monday night and tape two weeks of Smackdown on Tuesday nights for future shows. This new decision will help cut costs. Just when I thought it was bad enough Smackdown was taped three days in advance, every other week it will be taped 10 days in advance. While I understand the decision, I hope Smackdown reverts back to weekly tapings as soon as soon as possible. Reading spoilers 10 days in advance is just no fun.

Brian Kendrick told WWE Magazine: "A world without laws. I don't like the idea of people telling you that that there's a right way to live and wrong way to live, and that's what laws do.'' REACT: Let me rush out and vote for him.

Toyota demands Lexxus, who wrestles for Sheldon Goldberg's New England Championship Wrestling and World Women's Wrestling, change her name. REACT: I don't know what's worse -- the federation for agreeing to change the name even though it's a different spelling, or Toyota for going after this federation to begin with.

Ken Kennedy apologizes for past lies and says Stone Cold Steve Austin will be at WrestleMania XXV. REACT: Well, he should have apologized, and we all know Austin will be at WM XXV.

The Washington Post said performing WWE Divas in Afghanistan must have their bodies fully clothed, with shoulders covered, hips, buttocks and legs covered from the top of the knee. Photos to sign also have to be approved. REACT: Poor troops, although I fully understand the concern.

Former WWE diva Kristal Marshall beats out more than 400 contestants and wins Ms. Bikini America. REACT: What an accomplishment! Will WWE acknowledge it?

WWE has made 50 cuts in the past year. REACT: That's a ton, but when you look who was cut, and in some cases why, it's not that bad.

TNA Wrestling: I like the "Feast or Fired" match concept that involves 14 wrestlers, three championships and a pink slip. It's always interesting to see who gets "fired" and how the story lines develop with that individual. I think the Main Event Mafia group is a decent faction, and that Sting in a "Godfather" role is a smart move. Final Resolution is Dec. 7.

WWE signs Tomko. REACT: Edge is back. Christian is on his way. This was the next step.

D.H. Smith says he's the best second-generation wrestler in WWE. REACT: Smith needs to be in a WWE ring for awhile before saying something like this, even if he has endured the most training.

WWE to turn Michelle McCool heel. REACT: McCool has grown stale as a face, and the insider fans are turning on her because of her real-life relationship with the Undertaker. A heel turn will do wonders for the Divas Champion.

Professional wrestling Hall of Fame to induct Randy "Macho Man" Savage, and others. REACT: Is WWE listening?

Scott Hall and Insane Clown Posse say they will be at the Royal Rumble. REACT: They may be there, but they won't be in the Rumble.

Jerry "The Ring" Lawler. REACT: I'd say there's a 100 percent chance this sign is at Raw (read Jim Ross' blog and you'll know what I'm talking about). Now, we'll see if the cameraman gets it on TV.

Jack Swagger. REACT: As I've said before, he is the real deal. Jim Ross agrees in his latest blog.
