I spoke with Kevin Nash on Wednesday morning.
Nash is still hospitalized in Charlotte, N.C. He confirmed he did have an operation on his MRSA elbow infection.
"They are having to suck garbage out of it," Nash said. "I'm here until they find a blood bag (for travel)."
Nash said he would have to drive from Charlotte, N.C., back to his home in the Daytona Beach area -- due to airport restrictions on blood bags.
"It looks like it's going to be a two- to three-week setback," Nash said. "My arm is going to have to heal.
"I've dealt with injuries my whole career, though."
Nash wanted to stress to people how common MRSA is.
"This staph infection is everywhere; it's really easy to get -- even from your animals," Nash said. "(At this hospital), they are insisting on checking people, who can even carry it in their nostrils."
Nash wanted to clarify that his elbow infection started from a small scrape he developed while wrestling in Tokyo, Japan, and not from a tattoo he recently got that completely covers his right arm.
"It was a mat burn (from Japan)," Nash said. "I work out every day, and I'm active -- I didn't put a band-aid on it."
As for TNA Wrestling, Nash said, "I'm having a ball. I'm so bummed I'm not going on the European tour."
Nash re-upped his contract in October. It's a mutual agreement deal that lasts three years.
