Lesnar's post-match antics, while overboard, will serve UFC well. Most fans now want him to lose, while there is that wrestling-fan base with smiles on their faces for how well Lesnar is doing in such a short time.
I don't see Lesnar losing anytime soon, although Russian heavyweigh Fedor Emelianenko, who is considered among the sport's top pound-for-pound fighters, will present a serious challenge.
The concern for UFC might be Lesnar not losing anytime soon. I'll even go as far as saying he might become the UFC's first Hulk Hogan, someone who has the belt for too long and thus makes UFC fans lose some interest. Although the counter-argument will be people will be tuning in all the time to witness him lose.
For more on this, I recommend you check out Casey Meinberg's "Fighter" blog on this site.
I knew of this last year during "Big Brother 10,'' as returning BB11 cast member Jessie Godderz talked WWE on the show (yes, I watch Big Brother, but mainly because it involves a "pool.").
Jessie, on the favored "athletes" team, wants to be in WWE. As the current "head of househould (HOH), he is allowed to tweet from the "diary room."
For the record, Jessie has attitude, he's young (only 23) and he's in obvious good shape.
What will make or break him is if WWE answers his call, or in this case, his tweet.
On another note, Russell Kairouz is a mixed-martial arts fighter.
WWE RAW IN ORLANDO
WWE brings Monday Night Raw into town tonight.
It's been two weeks since we've had a live show, so expect this one to freshen up the story lines with the next pay-per-view less than two weeks away. Also, expect WWE to address the tag-team titles, since Edge is out until next year with an injury.
And hopefully, the latest Raw special general manager (Seth Green) will do a great job like Donald Trump and Ted DiBiase before him.
LATEST HEADLINES AND MY REACTS
Rey Mysterio's new tattoo that translates "do not let me fall on the canvas." REACT: Yes, death happens in wrestling, so this was a nice tribute to the late Mitsuharu Misawa.
TMZ.com's clip of Stone Cold Steve Austin blowing off Nick Hogan. REACT: There is no way Austin doesn't know who Nick is. I realize Austin and Hogan aren't friends, but Austin was classless for not talking to Nick (at least from what the clip showed).
John Cena gets married. REACT: Will WWE acknowledge this at all? I think it should someday, most likely in an angle as a heel starts making fun of him.
WWE No Mercy renamed to WWE Hell in the Cell. REACT: WWE PPV names are changing as quickly as NASCAR race names.
Fun contest at http://www.diva-dirt.com/50sexiestdivas2009/ REACT: Here were my votes: Group A (Tiffany), Group B (Torrie Wilson edges out Stacy Keilber and then Eve), Group C (Lita), Group D (Velvet Sky) and Group E (Kelly Kelly). Final voting for the overall winner is up. And since WWE.com didn't do it, vote for who I voted for (Torrie). For the record, I expect someone more "recent" like Kelly Kelly to win -- and that's not a bad thing.
ANOTHER JAWBREAKER?
Proof that winning horses have winning names, and also proof that winning horses of the same name make more than columnists of the same name.
Bob's Jawbreaker won the $55,000 Runaway Marcy Stakes for 3 year old fillies at Calder in Miami on Sunday.
Bob's Jawbreaker, after winning only one of her first three starts, has won three in a row and has earned $94,145.
WWE'S OTHER SHOWS
ECW: I'm glad Katie Lea Burchill is back, but she shouldn't have lost to Brie Bella in what is already becoming a stale Bellas routine. Shelton Benjamin and Yoshi Tatsu have put on two good matches. I doubt Ezekiel Jackson will get any kind of push. Christian is the class of ECW, while Vladimir Kozlov intimidates but doesn't win anymore. Abraham Washington entertained me this time, although much of that had to do with Tommy Dreamer being his guest and not the Bella Twins. And will Hurricane Helms actually wrestle again anytime soon? I'm starting to doubt that.
Superstars: R-Truth beating Ricky Ortiz and Zack Ryder beating Tyler Reks moved too slowly and did little for me. Hornswoggle beating Chavo Guerrero entertained me, but poor Chavo just can't catch a break.
