With today being Christmas Eve, I've decided to break down my 10 favorite moments from the Christmas episodes of "The Office". Happy Holidays, everyone!
10 (tie). Andy playing the sitar during "Moroccan Christmas."
10 (tie). The end of "Christmas Party": Meredith drops her top, Michael shudders, takes a picture and heads out of the office as if nothing happened.
9. The recently dumped Michael declaring, "Christmas is canceled." Prompting Jim to ask, "Will they still air 'Rudolph'?"
8. Michael's reaction when he's finally able to get rid of the oven mit during Yankee swap. "SUCKA!!!" And his take on reverse psychology: "Reverse psychology is an awesome tool. I don't know if you guys know about it, but, basically, you make some think the opposite of what you believe. And that tricks them into doing something stupid. Works like a charm."
7. Two of the parts with Dwight at Benihana: when he describes how to correctly butcher a goose and when he debates with the chef over which is the best knife.
6. Michael entering the planning party meeting with Pam, Angela, Phyllis and Ryan, and greeting them with, "Ho, ho, ho, pimp!"
5. Michael's reaction after everyone walks out in disgust when he tells them he got a $3,000 bonus: "Happy Birthday, Jesus. Sorry your party's so lame."
4. Dwight dressed as an elf. I mean, really, it doesn't get much better than that. Well, a little better ...
The top three are awfully close:
3. Yankee swap. This could be a list in itself: Creed's shirt that he dug out of his closet for Jim, Dwight's paintball lessons ("Take that, Saddam!"), the poster, the Kelly name plate, all of the fun with the iPod and on and on.
2. While doing karaoke with Andy, Michael realizing he has no idea which Benihana waitress he's hooking up with.
1. The appearance of Todd Packer in "Christmas Party". Michael is overexcited to see him, but everyone else could care less. "Wasssup, m' nerrrrrrrrrrrds!" And his strategically placed mistletoe.
