Seaside Fiesta, the annual New Smyrna Beach Flagler Avenue family block
party, will usher in the summer season from 5-9 p. m. Thursday, June 18,
hosted by the Merchants of Flagler Avenue and the New Smyrna Beach Parks
and Recreation Department. Seaside Fiesta will feature booths, live
entertainment, arts and crafts, food, and a variety of games for both
young and old.
The variety of entertainment at this year's Seaside Fiesta is sure to
appeal to every member of the crowd.
AcoustiCon will perform at the Seaside Station staging area. The popular
duo plays original music that is a combination of light smooth jazz and
rock. The performance stage will be set up at Flagler and Peninsula
avenues and will feature local groups such as American Martial Arts, NSB
High School Color Guard and Terri's Twirling Tornadoes. The Christian
Rock Band "Holy Smoke"
will be featured at the gazebo at the corner of Flagler and Pine. This
favorite local group performs every year.
Most of the street's businesses will remain open and there will be added
food and craft vendors along the street, with plenty of games for the
kids and lots of food choices for everyone. Restaurants on the street
will be open and festival food vendors will offer fresh squeezed
lemonade, kettle corn, Gran Arepas, sausage and onion sandwiches, and
much more.
Flagler Avenue will close to cars at 3 p.m., and will stay closed until
9:30 p.m. For more information, call NSB Parks & Recreation at
