Tomorrow's the day I've been bugging my friends, relatives and co-workers about for weeks --- ABC-SOAPnet Super Soap Weekend at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Yes, some would say I'm a soap addict having watched General Hospital, All My Children and One Life to Live on and off for more than 20 years. There's worse addictions in life.
Well, this weekend I'll get to see more than 30 stars coming to meet fans, sign autographs, participate in talk and game shows and party with fans at Street Jam sessions.
Just seeing the banner this afternoon already set up at Hollywood Studios and hearing people talk about the event, the excitement is building.
On a water taxi back from the park, a man possibly in his 60s sitting next to me told a friend his cell phone he'll be back at the park tomorrow with his wife-- "She's a real soap nut."
Six years ago while reporting on a fan event in West Palm Beach for Ingo Rademacher, who plays "Jax" on General Hospital, fans joked that I was a "Ingo virgin" since I'd never met him and that I would need smelling salt.
Well, tomorrow I may need a bucket full.
