Home of the Brave?

If I'm Jake Peavy, I'm grabbing every lamp post in San Diego and refusing to let go.

It's looking like the Padres will soon trade their stud pitcher to the Atlanta Braves, and up until a few years ago, that would've looked like great news to Jake or any other decent pitcher.
But look what's happened to pitchers entering Atlanta City Limits in recent years.

  Mike Hampton.
  Mike Gonzalez.
  Tim Hudson.
  Tom Glavine.

At least with Hudson, the Braves got a little bit of return on their investment before his arm detonated and sent him toward Tommy John Surgery, which reminds me of what Tommy John once said of that "honor."
"I'm just glad it wasn't a proctological procedure."

Remember a decade or so ago? Atlanta was the place where good pitchers became great, great pitchers became Hall of Famers, and even suspect arms were functional for a while. Nowadays, it's a hurler graveyard.

Hey Willie, My Brother thinks Jimmie Johnson is the best driver of all time. I told him the only reason he is succesful is that they(Nascar) cant figure out what Knaus is doing. Yes Tiger,Kobe,Brady, Marino,Gretsky Capt. Rick Murphy(except me) are and were the best at what they do because of there talent and sometimes their arrogance. But J.J. because of his talent?? Hell I could drive that car and win. Put King Richard or Cale in there. OR BETTER YET BILL DANCE.
